The Dutch artist Vincent van Gogh described the loneliness of the creator surprisingly accurately: “We no longer rebel against the established order of things, although we have not come to terms with it; we simply feel that we are sick, that our ailment will never go away and that there is no cure for it. I don’t remember who called such a state a swing between death and immortality. We are pulling a cart, and this is useful to people whom, alas, we do not know. And yet, since we believe in the new art, in the artists of the future, our foreboding does not deceive us.”

In art, a person must be left to himself, otherwise there will be no restraint, no confidence, no exact conviction on the right path. The loneliness of the creator is an indispensable condition for the maturation of talent, an emotional cocoon in which a voluminous, complex pattern of his future destiny sprouts and forms. Only alone with oneself, in the internal dialogue, all reactions are manifested, all assessments are given. To be honest, I didn’t always think so. The belief that someone would pick me up in flight, give support to my undertakings, was smoldering inside, not allowing me to release my craving for self-expression, to make it faster, to pick up the right pace.
But sooner or later, the realization came to me that I would have to wade through to recognition myself, without waiting for those who could influence the speedy achievement aiming. Oh, how many people create paintings, put on performances, write books, make movies and TV shows, realizing that few people know them! Or doesn’t know at all. The drama of man in art never ends. The Creator is doomed to create, not hoping for an emotional return, not counting on a grateful response from the public. And there is no denying this. Happiness is inherent in creativity itself; it is this that strengthens the artist’s faith in himself. As for myself, I will say: I was saved by self-criticism, ability to work and boundless dedication.
If there is a reproduction – look at them. If you managed to get to the museum, look at the paintings in the museum. Flip through books, look as much as possible, try to see. The main thing is to watch and remember what you like, what you understand, what you are interested in.
Now it is even strange to remember it, but there were those who sincerely convinced me that painting is not for me, and without a special education the path to art is closed. I hasten to dissuade you from this deeply erroneous opinion. Real talent includes gigantic opportunities to penetrate into the future. And it is most correct to act boldly and persistently in the proposed circumstances, leaving your “I” unchanged. Only then will you be rewarded.
Don’t be afraid to experiment!
Feel free to try yourself in different directions: both in fine arts and in arts and crafts. Strive to cover all areas with which a cultured person is familiar. Use various methods, create the most dizzying concepts. The world is on the border of global changes, be able to catch them.
art should become your way of life
Listen to your intuition, what does your heart tell you? You must intuitively feel art in every moment of your existence. How do you dress? What are you saying? What maxims correspond to your ideas? You must swim in the ocean of art, feeling like an integral part of it. I’ll say more. You may not even create a work as such. Contemporary Art challenges this notion and can easily exist in an insubstantial form, only in the artist’s imagination.

Do you want to leave your mark on the history of art? Then the creative imagination and reinforcing the artistic impressions are not enough. You can draw pictures with inspiration all your life, look for suitable images and forms, but you will never come close to creating your own unique style, by which you can be recognized as by a signature stroke. If you are burning with the desire to receive wide recognition, you should strive to create your own history of art. You need to develop your own concept, from which you can draw ideas for creativity widely and freely, creating a variety of works.
I see no reason to limit myself to any one kind of art. For me, it is paramount to express the deep figurative content of the work, but how to do it, by what means or tools is not so important. In one case it can be an NFT picture, in another it can be a GIF image or Digital Art. Galloping from the classics to the present, studying the secrets of painting, I simultaneously keep my finger on the pulse of modernity in order to keep up with the turbulent course of life. Hence the first principle enshrined in my methodological recommendations:
Use all the techniques you know, try yourself in different styles
Like I said before, art is limitless. And the artist must be bold and sincere, confirming his democratic character. Tirelessly draw, fantasize, embody your ideas, polishing and improving your skills. For the long history of the existence of painting an incredible number of techniques have been born into the world that allow you to create incredible color and texture effects. And the richer the arsenal of the creator, the more opportunities he has to draw attention to his works.
A modern artist, in an effort to convey to the viewer the features of his idea, to convey the psychologism of the image, must use various methods and techniques. A revolutionary approach to creativity, the desire for experimentation will allow you to embody the most daring fantasies in the works of Contemporary Art. In anticipation of fashion trends, the flair of an artist is often manifested, who must skillfully adapt to the world around him, creating an alternative reality. And if you manage to direct your actions not in one, but in several directions, you will significantly increase your audience.
